Jing Moroccan Mint is the best tea so far of the touareg/moroccan mint styles in terms of a full, present and sweet mint aroma of dry leaves. This aroma is very strong and it penetrates your nose with freshness when you open the bag. The blend consists of fair-trade, loosely rolled gunpowder and whole peppermint leaves. The liquor is shimmering vivid yellow and has a strong smoky note. Unfortunately this tea falls short when it comes to flavor. It’s sweet and smoky, but too light and delicate. Using 2 teaspoons and brewing it double the time, which is 6 minutes, I still got a pretty watery infusion, only with intensified smokiness. I’m not convinced, it’s too flavorless for my taste, it lacks a boost that would balance taste with aroma.
The tea came in a nice, golden ziplock bag with tea name and brewing instructions. I like the care for details and the feeling of luxury it gives.
