Record high tea prices

27 06 2009

As reported by Mail Online the tea prices have hit a record high due to droughts in India, Kenya and Sri Lanka. These are places which deliver a large percent of world’s tea production and now the production cannot match global demand. The British supermarket chain Tesco had their tea price raise from 68p to 99p – by 45.5%.
