This tea brings me back to childhood days when grandmas would treat you to lemon and orange hard candy wherever you come over. It’s just like that candy – the citrus aroma is sweet, peppery and citrusy and the infusion mostly sour at first, leaves a sweet-sour taste in your mouth. Morning Revival is very much on the sour side, but its sourness is well balanced. The liquor when steeping, has first a navy blue colored that turns into purple and lastly into deep red and looks quite appetizing. I think the aroma and the flavor don’t go very well together and make a strange combination.
The tea comes in a matte foil bag with a tasty looking sticker. I think this packing is very suitable, despite the see-through foil, it gives the feeling of a bright, fresh, new morning.
Morning Revival certainly won’t give you a caffeine kick, but if you want a tea for lazy mornings, this is the one.
